Burton Barr Central Library is seeking proposals for exhibition in its @Cental Gallery in 2020. Exhibitions are approximately six weeks in length and are open to the public during normal library business hours and during First Friday.
Proposals for exhibition in 2020 will be accepted September 1-30, 2019.

Call to Artists: 2019 Plein Air Painting Competion | Palmaire Ave. & 58th Dr.
Saturday, February 9, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Plein Air (open air) artists from throughout the southwest will compete for purchase awards by painting scenes of nature and historic Glendale that capture the imagination. The artists will begin and complete their paintings between 8-3:30 p.m., then line up their paintings on the Promenade on Palmaire Ave. & 58th Dr. for judging at 4 p.m. The paintings will remain on display until 5:30 p.m. for all to enjoy! This event is presented by the City of Glendale Public Art Program.
Award categories are Purchase Awards and will be accessioned into the City of Glendale’s permanent collection upon completion of the event:
Council Choice – $1,000 award | Best of Show – $1,000 award | Second Place – $500 award | Third Place – $250 award

Call for Art | America, Now | This will be a national open juried exhibition offering $5,000 in awards, including $1,000 for Best in Show. The exhibit will be juried by Dr. Elliot Bostwick Davis, Chair of the American Wing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The theme of this show will be to celebrate the best in visual art being created by Americans today. Artists working in all media from throughout the United States are welcome to apply. This is an exciting opportunity for artists from across the United States to be featured in a national exhibition in the historic galleries of the Providence Art Club. Founded in 1880, the Providence Art Club is one of the oldest arts organizations in the United States and the first such Club to be jointly founded by men and women. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the Club is easily accessible to Boston and New York and this show will draw a large and diverse audience of art lovers from across the Northeast and beyond. Craft Rave at Changing Hands | Call for Artisans | Craft Rave will return to Changing Hands Phoenix this summer with two dates! Tempe Public Art Opportunity | Request for Qualifications for the Pre-Qualified List of Artists for the Maryanne Corder Neighborhood Grant Program
The City of Tempe invites Arizona artists to submit qualifications for inclusion in an artist prequalified vendor list that will be used to select artists for upcoming projects with budgets up to $10,000. Artists selected for these projects will have the opportunity to work directly with residents in the creation of artworks within their communities. More Info
